Well moulded and finely painted with.a duck on rockwork near flowering branches of lotus below radidiating panels of flowers and butterfly, the reverse with panels of a butterfly and ruyi heads, the base with an egret mark.

    For Kraak Porcelain with egret mark see Maura Rinaldi: Kraak Porcelain, A Moment in the History of Trade, pp.195-208, where the author has been able to locate only 45 pieces with egret mark worldwide of which 23 in the Netherlands.

    A fine blue and white 'Kraak Porcelain' deep bowl Wanli well moulded and painted in the interior with tasselled symbols, the moulded well with four shaped panels of further symbols, fruit and flowers divided by two opposed ruyi heads, all below leafy flowerheads at the everted rim, the outside with shaped panels below birds on a branch, the blue of very strong and deep colour

A very similar bowl is in the Fries Museum, Leeuwarden and illustrated by Maura Rinaldi, Kraak Porcelain, Pl. 133, where she mentions the rare arrangements of the two opposed ruyi heads dividing the shaped panels on the well.
