the blade of elongated triangular section with sharp edges cast with a sunken
conforming lappet, the tapered stem cast with further archaic motifs and flanked
by two angular loops, green and reddish encrustation, with fitted stand

05 An archaic bronze vessel
Han dynasty
Of long oblong shape, cast on both sides with taotie handles securing
a chain consisting of double-loop links rising to a C-shaped grip terminating in dragon heads,
two further taotie masks suspending a loose ring above the foot, the surface
with extensive areas of red and green encrustation, the slightly domed cover
cast with a dense whorl pattern encircling the finial
