WFE 61 A green overlay glass snuff bottle


18th-19th century

The snuff bottle is of rounded form with sloping shoulders and a slender neck. The green overlay is carved with a continuous decoration of branches of pomegranate, peach and persimmon. A flying bat is depicted on one shoulder. The translucent bubble-suffused glass is milky white. Pink tourmaline stopper.
6 cm high without stopper
