PFE 17 A famille verte plate


Kangxi (1662-1722)

The plate is of unusual flat form, probably after a Dutch pewter model. 
it is painted in bright colours with 'The Hundred Antiquities' including an exotic bird on a wooden table, a deer, a stand suspending a birdcage, flower vases, books and many other treasures and symbols. The flat rim is decorated with demi flower heads linked by leafy sprays. The reverse has e lingzhi in underglaze blue within a double ring below six symbols at the rim.
