An Yixing silver-mounted hexagonal Teapot and Cover

The hexagonal teapot has an appliqué decoration of floral scrolls around the body between single flower heads.on the shoulder and above the foot. The cover has a large leafy flower head encircling the bud finial. Fine silver filigree mounts.

Height 10 cm

An almost identical teapot with very similar silver mounts was included in the Exhibition 'Yixing, Purple Clay Wares, The K.S. Lo Collection', Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, Hong Kong 2002, Cat. no. 101
