Ming dynasty, 16th century 

The heavenly guardian is standing on a rock, his right hand resting on a serpent's sword emerging from a dragon's head, his left hand on his side. He is fully clad in chain-mail armour bound with a cord centred by a monster mask and with a celestial scarf billowing above his shoulders and trailing down the sides. His face below a helmet has a serene expression.
Height 35 cm

Weituo is one of the thirty-two generals under the Four Guardian Kings who protect the Buddha dharma. He is depicted with the face of a child to represent his purity.
