S24 An inside-painted glass snuff bottle

Dated first month of the Xinhai Year, corresponding to1961

The thick-walled tapering ovoid bottle is carved with nine rounded petal-shaped facets below a collar of further petals around the shoulder. The interior is painted with a continuous scene of fan-tailed goldfish swimming amidst aquatic plants and inscribed xinhai yuanyue zuo (Made in the first month of the Xinhai year), followed by one seal of the artist
