BFE 61 A pair of blue and white shallow bowls


Wanli/Tianqi (circa 1620)

The bowls are of shallow form with rounded sides and everted rim. They are painted in the centre with a hunter chasing a rabbit with a stick. A falcon is flying in the air, below two further hares and rocks encircling the rim. The reverse is painted with four tasseled symbols.
