BFE12 A blue and white ‘Kraak’ dish


Early 17th century 

The centre is painted with a roundel of a river landscape with a scholar seated with his arm resting on a low table near a fence and rocks. The background with steep cliffs and mountains. The sides and everted rim are painted with four further seated figures below pine tree, bamboo, prunus and willow. The reverse with medallions divided by narrow panels
