EF 28 A small Jian ‘Hare’s Fur’ teabowl


The heavily potted bowl has deep flaring sides rising to a 'finger-grooved' rim bound with silvered metal. It is covered inside and out with a lustrous black glaze finely streaked with russet 'hare fur' markings thinning to dark brown at the rim and pooling in an irregular line above the foot ring exposing the coarse ware fired to a purplish-brown colour
