WFE 69 A greyish white jade brush washer


17th/18th century

The washer is carved in the form of a three-petalled flowerhead with a circular pistil in the interior and surrounded by an intricate openwork network of leafy gnarled branches bearing various flowers and continuing under the base. The semi-translucent stone has a greyish tone with a few grey and light russet inclusions
17 cm wide; with wood stand extensively carved inf the form of the washer
