WFE 71 A greyish-green brush pot


18th/19th century

The brushpot is carved and hollowed to create the vessel in the form of a gnarled tree trunk with overhanging peach branch issuing two peaches. A duck is standing on pierced rockwork holding a fruiting branch in his beak. A lingzhi is growing from the rock, the back of the vessel is carved with two further lingzhi. The stone is of and even pale celadon colour.
Height 12.5 cm; with fitted wood stand
