Meiji period

The octagonal bowl has steep sides and everted rim. The exterior is painted with alternate panels of a standing Dutchman and a Karako holding a large gourd. The interior is painted in the centre with a flower vase on a low table below a border of eight geometric panels below the rim.                                                                                                              Diameter 19.5 cm
