JPM 01 A Japanese Imari drainer and stand


Early 18th century 

The drainer has rounded sides with barbed rim and is supported on three conical feet. The centre is perforated with many draining holes and is painted in underglaze blue, green enamel and iron-red and gilt with a large flower vase on a terrace below eight panels of alternate river landscapes and flowering branches. The exterior with scrolling peony in underglaze blue and iron- red.
The underdish is similarly decorated.
