Late 18th/Early 19th century
The bowl, mandate and shikaro are lacquered to imitate russet iron, the four stage kanemono and the kanemono for the tassel are in shakudo and gilt copper. The mandate is in the shape of an oni with teeth inlaid in mother of pearl and with gold lacquered kuwagata. Each of the fukigaeshi bears a bonji character in gold heidatsu, enriched with kirikemo and rows of hirame. The 'leather' lacing of the shikoro is executed in silver with a red bottom tier, the interior and riser of the kogo in silver hirame and nashiji amidst scattered gold mon in gold hiramakie. The underside is decorated with karakusa in gold hiramakie and kiri mon in takamakie on a nashiji ground.

The two bonji characters are Siddham (Sanskrit) syllables.
The first one can be translated as Fudo Myoo, the second one as Amida Nyorai. These two Buddhas were particularly worshipped by the buke klasse, the military aristocracy

JPF 03 十八/十九世紀 戰盔造型漆香盒
時代：18世紀晚期或19世紀早期。
特徵：此器上漆以模仿赤褐色鐵盔，其蓋造型呈面露利齒的日本鬼面。戰盔兩側的吹返上皆有梵文，分別指「不動明王」與「阿彌陀佛」。
