JW 01 A lacquer suzuribako (writing box)

明治 蒔繪漆硯盒


Meiji period, 19th century 

The rectangular box with rounded corners has an overhanging cover decorated in gold, black and silver hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, e-nashiji and kirigane on a nashiji ground with large pyramidal fishing nets hung on masts. The inside of the cover is decorated with birds in flight over a river with thatched houses half concealed behind the river shore near a large pine tree. The interior has a tray decorated with more birds above a further river landscape and fitted with an inkstone (water dropper is missing)

JW 01 明治 蒔繪漆硯盒
時代:明治時期,19世紀。
特徵:長方形漆器硯盒上以金、銀與黑粉等呈現巨大的金字塔形漁網圖案,盒內則裝飾著河岸飛鳥、茅屋松樹等景觀。內部配有硯台,但缺少滴水。
尺寸:21.5 x 19公分。
